Selling and buying on the market
A house with an owner can also be bought: its owner puts it up for sale in the Houses tab of the market and another player buys it with gold. It is sold whole: its stage, the work in progress, the furniture and the workbenches. On the market you can see it from the inside, piece by piece, exactly as the buyer gets it.
Putting it up for sale
- It is listed from the Houses tab of the market, in the Your house box: type the price and confirm.
- A house can be sold 24 hours after it becomes yours.
- Listing costs 1% of the price, which is not refunded even if you take it down. When it sells, the market keeps 8% (5% for members of the Order of Aurelia), as with gear.
- You can take it down at any time while nobody has bought it.
- A Farm with something planted cannot be listed: the crops belong to your characters and do not go with the house. Harvest or clear everything first; while it is for sale, nothing can be planted in it.
While it is for sale
The house is frozen: furniture cannot be moved or removed, workbenches cannot be changed and no new works can start. A work already in progress carries on and finishes on its own. You can keep using it and sleeping in it, and in the city the sign at the door says it is for sale.
Buying it
- Choose which of your characters it is for: that character becomes the owner shown at the door.
- Before paying you see exactly what you get and how much you pay, and you have to confirm.
- One house per account: if you already have one, you cannot buy another.
- Anyone sleeping in it gets up. The furniture and workbenches stay inside and become yours.
- The sale is posted in the #hall-of-fame channel on Discord, with the price.
What is protected
- What you see is what you buy: if the house changes while you are looking (for example, a work finishes), the purchase stops without charging you and you see it again.
- If two players want it at the same time, only one buys it and the other is not charged anything.
- If your gold is not enough, nothing happens: you are not charged and the owner does not change.
- If the seller stops being the owner, the listing is taken down on its own.
