Information
Two currencies and one market: in-game gold, which also runs the player market, and scarce crystals. Plus energy, the daily loot cap and your stash space.
The market runs on in-game gold.
Guildlands has two currencies and one market. Gold is the in-game currency and also the currency of the Market, where players sell things to each other; outside the market it never passes from one player to another. Crystals are the scarce currency, for convenience.
Two currencies
Energy
Energy recovers on its own, even with the game closed. The cap is 100 and only some equipped items raise it: no food or effect changes it. “Online” means having had the game open for at least 55 of the last 60 minutes. In the game, hovering the bar shows how long until the next point and how fast it is recovering.
Those minutes only count while you are actually at the game: after 10 minutes without touching anything (no click, no key, no scroll), they stop adding up until you come back.
| Rate | Per hour | From 0 to 100 |
|---|---|---|
| Base | 16 / h | 6 h 15 min |
| Online (+25 %) | 20 / h | 5 h |
| Order (+25 %) | 20 / h | 5 h |
| Order and online | 25 / h | 4 h |
Loot
Only the gear that drops in adventures and chests counts, over the last 24 hours and per account. Materials and potions that drop neither count nor get held back. If something drops in a fight and the cap holds it back, the result screen shows it.
| Amount | Chance |
|---|---|
| ≤ 20 | 100 % |
| ≤ 35 | 50 % |
| ≤ 50 | 15 % |
| > 50 | 5 % |
Stash
Extra stash pages are paid for with Crystals.
| Name | Amount | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Backpack | 30 | — |
| Stash | 18 (+12 Order) × 1–10 | Crystals |
| Your characters | 3 / 6 | — |
| Characters in play at once | 1 / 2 (Order) | — |
Characters in play at once: without the Order you can play one character at a time per account and per computer; with the Order, two. It counts per computer, not per internet connection: people sharing a connection at home or in a cybercafé are not affected. If you hit the limit, leave the game with the other character; if it was closed or lost connection, the spot frees up on its own in under a minute.
Everything you gather (mining, woodcutting, fishing, herbalism) and everything you make with a profession goes into your backpack. If it does not fit (no matching stack to add to and no free slot), the work stops and the game shows a big warning: make room to keep going. Crafting and processing take materials from your backpack first, then from the materials tab of your stash (house works, from anywhere in your stash); anything on a regular stash page has to be taken out first. If your backpack is full, you cannot start. Drops from adventures and dungeons, chests, keys, meat and mission rewards go to your backpack; if they do not fit, to your stash, and only if neither has room are they lost, with a big warning on screen.
The first tab of your stash is the materials tab: every material has its own fixed spot, grouped by profession, with no quantity limit and without taking up space in your pages. The ones you do not have yet show faded in their spot. Double-click or Ctrl + click sends a material straight to its spot, the "Store materials" button, above your backpack, moves them all at once, and next to it "Deposit all" moves your whole backpack (each button shows how many stacks will go), and you can see them all together or by profession and search them by name. If you want one on a page, drag it there.
Next to it is the spells tab, bought separately with crystals: a fixed spot for every spell book, sorted by school (magic, shouts and techniques) and level, and for your Runecrafting supplies (essences, simple and combined runes, parchment and ink), also with no quantity limit. Runecrafting takes its supplies from there, just as professions take theirs from the materials tab. Without buying it, whatever is already stored there can be taken out, but nothing new goes in.
Order of Aurelia
The Order of Aurelia is the optional membership of your account (formerly called VIP) and gives perks to all your characters. During the pre-alpha you earn it with the daily streak on the welcome screen: 14 days in a row, each with its reward (Order days, crystals or a chest key), and days 7 and 14 are the big ones. A full round gives 14 days of the Order, 110 crystals and 3 keys: if you log in every day, you never stop being an Order member. Each reward can only be claimed on its own day: if you miss a day, that reward is lost, but the streak is not broken and the next day you claim the following one. After day 14 a new round starts. Order days are added to the ones you have left. The reward for each day is given only once per computer: if another account already claimed it today from the same computer, your streak still moves on, but with no reward. The membership expires: the welcome screen shows how many days you have left and, when it ends, its perks switch off on their own. What you stored in the Order rows of the stash is not lost: you can take it out, but you cannot store anything new there. Buying the membership is locked during the pre-alpha.
