#Patrol the roadsAdventure
Walk the roads out of the village and scare off whatever comes close. Wolves, spiders, the odd goblin.
Outings are the engine of the game: they cost energy and time, and pay experience, gold and sometimes an item or a chest. They chain — doing one opens the next.
One outing opens the next, and doing it once is enough forever. Cancelling after ten seconds does not count: the chain opens by finishing, not by starting.
Adventures and dungeons are actually fought when they end, with your real sheet and a roll the server can replay. If you fall halfway you are paid only for the part you did and none of what was promised — which is why level and gear matter even when you are not watching.

Push through the forest to the old mine. Farther out, more beasts and more loot.
Carry a parcel to the house across the village. No danger: what it takes is being let in.
Escort the caravan to the city. It pays well because you need to talk to the people on the road.
Represent the city before the neighboring court. Only for those with the right words.
Go down to what lies beneath the village. Skeletons, wraiths, and what nobody saw come back.
