During an outing, under your frame and your target's there is a row of small icons with each side's active effects: green border if it helps, red if it hurts, and below it what is left (minutes, rounds or shield hits). Hover one to see what it is and what it does. It shows food dishes, the spell shield and the debuffs creatures leave on you (poison, bleeding and the rest); later effects will go in the same row.

Resetting your points

Potion of Rebirth

The Potion of Rebirth returns every attribute point you spent: each attribute goes back to what your class and race give you, and the rest is yours to spend again however you like. Double-click it in your backpack; before it is used up, the game tells you how many points come back and asks you to confirm. If you have nothing spent, it is not used.

Potion of Race Change

The Potion of Race Change changes your race and your face. Your attributes are rebuilt with the new race and the points you spent stay where they are. It can only be drunk with an empty Wheel of Aurelia: first the Elixir of Oblivion or releasing the nodes. Double-click it to open a window where you choose the race and the face.
