Cut emerald

Cut emerald is a cut gem: it comes from cutting the uncut gem at the artisan table, with Artisanry 27. It is the middle one of five qualities: three of one quality make one of the next.

Cutting

At the artisan table, with the artisan needle in your backpack: one uncut gem gives one cut gem and, always, a chipped gem as a bonus. It costs no gold.

Which veins drop it

The cut gem does not come from any vein: it comes from cutting Uncut emerald, which drops while mining at 1% per ore. This is the chance per ore of each vein:

What it is used for

Once cut, it goes into the sockets of weapons and chest pieces that drop. It adds a fixed bonus, different in a weapon and in a chest piece, and once set it does not come out:

Sockets
In a weapon+2% Crit chance
In a chest piece+2% Evasion

Sockets

In one of its qualities, it is set at the artisan table to make these jewels (the materials say which one each needs):

Who buys it

Any vendor buys it for 72 each. Mirta, artisan, by the artisan table, pays 25% more for gems: 90.
